What a track loader gets you
The 259D3 carries its ~8,990 lb on rubber tracks instead of wheels, so it puts down roughly 6 psi — about what a person standing on soft ground does. That is the whole reason to rent this over a wheeled skid steer here: it will cross a wet spring pasture, a septic field, or an established lawn and leave tread marks instead of ruts. The vertical-lift boom raises the load straight up rather than swinging it out in an arc, which is what you want when you are loading over the side of a trailer or stacking pallets.
